Dr. Sandoz has authored, co-authored or edited twenty books most recently Republicanism, Religion and the Soul of America. Columbia, MO: University of Missouri Press, 2006. Of his very many articles, the most recent is “The Philosopher’s Vocation: The Voegelinian Paradigm” in Review of Politics 71:1, 1-14. He is the general editor for The Collected Works of Eric Voegelin, editor of various volumes within this series.
Professor Sandoz founded and remains secretary of the Eric Voegelin Society. He is a member of, among others, American Political Science Association, The Southern Political Science Association, The Philadelphia Society, The Federalist Society, and The American Historical Association. He is a former member of the National Council on the Humanities, and was named a Fulbright 40th Anniversary Distinguished American Scholar. He is a United States Marine Corps veteran.
