Politics

 A concealed Al-Qaeda bomb
Might wipe out my town and me with it.
But right now my washing machine is on
Its last legs. It roars and shakes and
Spills water on the floor.

  And my neighbors won't keep their TV down,
And my fairly new car has a strange sound,
While my wife and I aren't communicating too well
In recent months, which I suppose is my fault;
And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

  Sometimes I wonder if those folks in
Washington and elsewhere don't go for all that
Stuff just to keep their minds off what I've been
Adumbrating.
