Dr. McGuire is coeditor with Lee Trepanier of Eric Voegelin and the Continental Tradition: Explorations in Modern Political Thought. He has also edited a symposium on the political thought of David Walsh in Perspectives on Political Science and published essays on “Philosophy, the Mysteries, and Politics in Plato’s Phaedrus” and “Schelling on the University in an Age of Utility.”
He is currently working on a book-length study of the relationship between autonomy and the primacy of practical reason in Immanuel Kant’s moral and political philosophy.
